A good-looking lawn doesn't happen by accident. It starts with what's underneath - the grade, the soil, the prep work that nobody sees but everybody benefits from. That's exactly what this job was all about.

The front and back yards had low spots that needed to be addressed before any seed ever hit the ground. We graded both areas to smooth things out and get the water moving the right direction. Skipping that step is one of the most common mistakes homeowners make, and it shows up later as dead patches, standing water, and uneven turf that never quite fills in right.

Once the grading was done, we brought in fresh topsoil to give the seed a strong base to work with. Quality topsoil matters more than most people realize. It holds moisture, supports root development, and gives new grass the nutrients it needs to establish fast. Then we seeded the whole area and covered it with straw to protect it while it gets going.

This is the kind of work that asks you to be patient. The straw looks rough at first - but that's the process doing exactly what it should. Beneath that layer, the seed is protected, moisture is retained, and the new grass is getting ready to push through. A few weeks later, you've got a lawn that's actually built to last.

We do this kind of work because the results hold up. Proper grading. Fresh soil. The right seed. It's not complicated, but it has to be done correctly. Cut corners on any one of those steps and you're back to square one within a season.
